This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing! The school we are at is a Title I-funded school in Arizona. We have a fantastic administration, wonderful teammates, and the best students! My students are very hard workers and also know how to have fun. I wouldn't trade them for anything. I love seeing their faces every morning.
My students have a desire to learn.
They always want to know more, learn more, do more, and read more of everything. Our classroom is our own little family.
My Project
My students come to me each week for S.T.E.M. On Wednesdays, we do a Makerspace day. The Makerspace needs supplies for the students to use.
Makerspace is where students use random craft supplies and an idea to create something.
The popsicle sticks can be used to make the Eiffel Tower, a picture frame and so much more. The googly eyes are for creations that are personified and need eyes. The pompoms and beads are used as accessories and accents to their ideas.
The Makerspace area is a way for students to have their ideas come to life.
