Help me give my students a MakerBot printer to explore the design and creating process we learn in STEM class.

My Students
In our STEM classes, we work with the engineering design process to explore design and modeling, as well as computer science skills. My students need to develop these skills to be successful in high school math and science courses.
Students in STEM learn perseverance and problem-solving skills.
My middle school students are learning to collaborate with others; they are learning to build on each other's strengths, and strengthen each other's weaknesses. These are such important skills for higher education and the workplace!
My Project
We are looking to introduce students to a 3d printer in our STEM classroom. We have nearly 400 STEM students at our school who will have the opportunity to design, create, and model their engineering ideas with a 3d printer this year.
The use of a 3d printer will help our students design their cardboard cars, passive solar homes, creating a product for our shark tank, sphero-chariot, and rollercoasters.
These students would benefit from the 3d printer creating their small models to present their designs before they make their full-size designs by hand.
