Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every time the children enter the school library, I want them to be excited to learn about all the new people, places, lessons, and journeys they will be able to encounter during their library time! Our school is home to almost 500 eager learners in grades Pre-K through 5th grade. Our students come from diverse backgrounds. Some of our families face a daily struggle just to provide for their families basic needs. I am very excited to have the opportunity to bring many positive library experiences to our school.
I am requesting 2 LEGO brick sets and base plates for our new maker space area in the library.
The children will be able to go to the maker space area and create anything they can imagine. They will be able to design, create and build in the maker space area. They might even use a library book for inspiration!
