My Students
My students know that we have 2 rules in our kindergarten class "to learn and to have fun". Many children are into technology and video games but few have the ability to access their imagination and problem solving skills.
My school is a small hidden gem in a big city.
My kindergarten students are enthusiastic and work hard at everything they do. I try to plan as many fun, engaging, and integrated activities as our schedule will fit. I try to give them opportunities to experience things that they would not normally have.
My Project
My students need STEM kits, magna-tiles, and other building materials to create a maker area. Once these materials are introduced to my students they will have "maker" area in our classroom for independent learning time. In this area the children will use the materials to use their imaginations to make and build things while using their problem solving skills and accessing their creativity.
By donating to this project you will help us create our "maker" space.
In our "maker" space my students will build focus, attention, and problem solving. Children who sometimes get overwhelmed when they face a large task will feel successful when they make something independently.
