This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from hardworking families on the west side of Chicago. They are incredibly bright and have an enormous capacity to learn, to work diligently, and to succeed! I wish to match their incredible efforts with the best possible resources here in our learning community. At this time, when critical thinking is often disregarded in favor of 'alternative facts', my students and I are trying our best each day to promote the crafting of logical claims and the citation of relevant evidence. We would be so grateful for your consideration!

My Project

Can you remember when you were a kid in school? Forced to sit in one place for hours at a time-- and concentrate while you were there on learning new academic content?

Metal desks and plastic chairs aren't an ideal learning environment for every child.

While some students crave the structure of a desk, others thrive in a more comfortable bean bag chair or with a lap desk on the carpet.

Please help me to offer more flexible seating choices to all of my students. I promise you that we'll take great care of our new furniture-- and learn like never before!
