My Project
I’ve worked in the library for a little while now, and I have found that my students are amazing readers IF they have books that they’re genuinely interested in! They consistently reach for graphic novels. Graphic novels help the story become real for them! I have watched them blossom into awesome, interested readers over the course of my time with them, and they’ve waited patiently for new graphic novels as I’ve brought in other products first. These books keep my kids reading! The staff at my schools have to remind them to “keep their eyes on the road!” as they begin reading even while walking out of the library!
