Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have the best students! Despite facing challenges at home and living with disabilities, they demonstrate remarkable determination, perseverance, and dedication to their education. Their efforts are a testament to their strength and character. This project would help me utilize technology within my classroom to provide equity and access to the curriculum.
This proposal outlines a plan to integrate LG StandByMe devices into special education classrooms in the Bronx, promoting academic success, equity, and access for students with diverse learning needs.
By providing an interactive, user-friendly, and adaptable learning tool, we aim to bridge the technology gap and enhance educational outcomes for these students.
Background:
The Bronx has one of the highest poverty rates in the country, with many students facing barriers to accessing technology and quality education.
Special education students often require tailored support and accommodations to succeed academically.
Traditional teaching methods may not be effective for students with diverse learning needs, highlighting the need for innovative, technology-driven solutions.
The Solution: LG StandByMe
LG StandByMe is an interactive touchscreen device designed for educational settings.
Its intuitive interface and adaptable technology make it an ideal tool for special education students.
