Help me give my students an opportunity to be creative with magna tiles.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Pittman's classroom raised $179

My Students
I teach at a Title I elementary school that is over 80 years old. We lack many of the modern technologies of today's world. Over 95% of my students receive either free or reduced-price lunch.
My students put in a lot of effort to attend my school.
It is a medical magnet school so they ride a bus for over an hour to get to our school servicing students from all over the community including military families. We only have about 300 students so we are small and don't have the resources that a larger school might have.
My Project
The magnetic tiles will be used to give students an opportunity to create 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional designs. They will be used during STEM time for free exploration as well as targeted activities.
Last year, my students really struggled with geometry.
These magnetic tiles will help students with geometry and creating new 2 dimensional shapes out of other shapes. These magnetic tiles will really help to build some of the concepts of the attributes of shapes and their names. Students will be engaged in learning the names of the shapes in order to meet the criteria given for the STEM building activity assigned.
