My Project
I began working at a rural school in Oklahoma, that has not had an onsite school counselor for several years. I have been creating a counselor's office from scratch. Although, the school has been very helpful, there is still a great need of items to help create an effective school counselor's office. The students at my school all participate in the free lunch program And after being in and out of school for the past two years they need and safe and enjoyable space to to help them adjust to school.
These items requested will help the need of social emotional learning after the impact of COVID 19.
The comfy chair and lighting will create a calming space for students to relax. The games requested will help the counseling experience be more enjoyable.
