This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach a classroom full of students with autism. The school is in a very low-income area and there just isn't any money left in the budget.
Students with autism are easily distracted by noises and colors that other people are able to ignore. In order to create a space where these students can learn and tap into there many abilities it is essential they have the ideal learning environment.
In order to create this environment I need room dividers that help organize the room into smaller work areas where common distractions can be blocked. Something as common as a tree blowing in the wind can cause distractions that make these dividers so important.
In these tough economic times I am not able to provide these necessary classroom changes to support my students without the help of you. You can make a difference in the lives of these students.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
