Make Reading Fun!

Help me give my students fun tools to become better readers. With pop-its and magnetic chips, who wouldn't be excited?

My Students

My students are filled with a love of life and learning. I am greeted by smiling faces who are eager to learn every morning. They are caring and willing to help out anyone who may be struggling.

My goal is to prepare my students and give them the tools they need to be successful as they grow and move on through high school and college.

Our school serves students in grades K-6. At least half of our students are on free or reduced-price lunch. We have a diverse population at our school and my students are sure to welcome anyone. Many come from homes where English is not their first language. We have an incredible faculty that creates a safe learning environment for all of our students. They truly care and want every child to succeed.

My Project

All of these resources will be used to help develop students' foundational reading skills. Students will use the pop-its to practice segmenting every sound in a word and then use that to improve their spelling. Magnetic wands and bingo chips will put a smile on everyone's face that uses it to blend words. Having enough materials to allow a whole small group to learn will be priceless!

With the right tools available, every student will be able to make growth and become a stronger reader.
