My Students

I work closely with 12 students in the 1st 2nd and 3rd grades. All of my students are on the autism spectrum from mild to sever. Each one of my students have unique qualities that make it difficult to learn in the classroom. When we went online for a time it was almost impossible to meet the needs of my students. After coming back in 2020 I found that most of my students had lost a lot of what we had worked hard to accomplish in the classroom.

My first grade students struggle with the day to day task of being in a classroom for 5 hours instead of 3.

The second and third graders find it difficult to get back into the daily routine of school. Throughout the 20/21 school year we struggled to get the students back on track while trying to help the students the choose to do school online be successful. this year having everyone back in the classroom has been met will challenges as we continue to grow and learn how to adapt with all the changes from covid. Helping my students be successful in the classroom and in the community is key.

My Project

These resources will help my students learn in a fun interactive environment. Giving them an opportunity to explore reading and math in a fun encouraging way, in light of the craziness going on around us. They will know that at school they can learn and grow while engaged and having fun. Giving my students the emotional support they need to learn and teach them how to act and behave in a changing social world. These resources will be used to meet my students goals so that they might learn to be successful.
