it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
For this proposal, I am requesting blenders, deckles, molds, and other supplies for paper making. I feel that this technique, which is very tactile, very old, and very fun can be a positively engaging process for my art and health students. Not only are the results are gorgeous, but it also helps the environment by recycling paper, and keeping it out of landfills, but the act of creating paper is really fun. Many students do not get to use their hands and produce products throughout the school day. I am excited to share this technique with my kiddos. It feels good, helps the environment, and will allow my students to feel a sense of satisfaction in their actions.
