My students need supplemental learning resources from Teachers Pay Teachers for math, literacy, science, social studies, holidays and fine motor activities.
I teach a special education TK/kindergarten/1st grade class. My students come to school happy, and full of energy each day. They dream about being teachers, superheroes, and veterinarians. Some of them have been in school since they were 3 because of speech delays or other disabilities.
Due to their special learning needs, every year is different and I have to find new ways to meet their learning needs.
They generally have a difficult time playing and communicating with other kids and need lots of practice such as dramatic play to improve on this. It is all worth it to see the progress they make and how proud they are of themselves. I want them to feel successful and learn as much as they can while they are with me.
My Project
Teachers Pay Teachers has amazing educational resources made by other teachers in every subject you can think of! I often buy things with my own money because the materials are needed. However, we have a long wish list of items I know my students could use and would love in the areas of fine motor skills, math, literacy, sensory activities and more.
My students have special learning needs and require extra practice with most academic subjects.
The curriculum the school provides does not give enough practice for them, and I need to find other materials to use to help them. They also need activities that are fun and exciting and don't feel like they are doing "work."
