My students need a color laser printer to create high-quality visuals.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Isero's classroom raised $285
This project is fully funded
Attract the attention of your audience with a black-and-white version of your colorful, professional visual? With no color laser printer at our school, that's exactly what we're telling our college-prep students to do.
I teach at a public high school in California, where 99 percent of our students are of color, 95 percent go to college, and 70 percent are the first in their families to do so. In addition to our college-prep curriculum, students become leaders by doing service and interrupting inequities they see in their community. They galvanize support of their peers and community members through presentations and hands-on workshops to foster awareness.
The problem is, because our school does not own a color printer, the students' hard work does not always pay off. Our students want to pass out high-quality brochures and flyers, but instead, they have to resort to black-and-white versions.
That is why I am asking for your support in purchasing a color laser printer for our school. It would make our students' visuals "pop" and spread awareness of the issues they are tackling. In addition, it would reinforce our high expectations as we prepare our students for college. Please note that I chose the least expensive (but still high quality) color laser printer available on DonorsChoose. I understand that you want to donate and want your money to be used well.
Please consider funding this project. You will help our students feel proud of their work as they work to make their communities better.
