Make Our SMARTboard Smarter

My students need SMART Notebook software to use our SMARTboard as effectively as possible.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Vespoli's classroom raised $333

My Students

My classroom has a SMARTboard, however, we are not able to use it effectively because we do not have SMART Notebook. We need this software to make learning engaging, interactive, and alive. We cannot get the most out of the materials we have in our classroom without this software.

The class motto we have in our classroom is: BTBTYCB.

BTBTYCB stands for Be The Best That You Can Be. I absolutely believe in holding my students to high expectations, and I truly believe that the limitations a teacher puts on her students generates the ceiling point for those students. However, at the same time, I feel it is crucial in the classroom to foster a community of BTBTYCB. Students in my class try to keep to the class motto and be the best that they can be, while I also try to be the best teacher and person that I can be. However, right now, our SMARTboard is struggling to be the best that it can be! Help us fix that!

My Project

As my classroom stands right now, I use my own personal computer alongside the SMARTboard that came with my classroom. I am able to project my computer screen onto the SMARTboard and I am also able to project the audio from my computer through the speakers of the SMARTboard. One of the major benefits of having a SMARTboard in the classroom is to increase the interactiveness in teaching. Access to SMART Notebook would allow my students to come up to the SMARTboard during lessons to share their work, show their thinking, and work collaboratively with one another. SMART Notebook would give my students an opportunity to play educational games, practice skills using technology, and save their work to revisit their learning.

SMART Notebook would transform teaching and learning in my classroom.

It will give my students access to a hands on approach to learning where they can actually touch and interact with their own thinking and understanding.
