Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are eager to learn daily despite the fact that most of them come to school with little or no school supplies. I focus on providing a fun and creative learning environment. My students are regular education and English as a second language learners and special education students. Most of my students live in single-parent homes.
I teach at a Title I school where 100 percent of my students receive free breakfast and lunch daily.
I know I cannot change the struggles they face at home, but I can make sure their lives at school are positive, exciting, and rewarding.
My Project
Help give my students a brighter world of SEL. Having the HP photo printer will allow my students an opportunity to print SEL posters for their journals. The students will be able to be creative with their projects. My students will be able to create projects about themselves and print them to share in our class or take home to share with their families.
SEL is very important in Kindergarten.
My students can create gifts for their families also which will help them express themselves. We will be able to print colorful SEL games for the students to work on their emotions. We can print calming strategy cards sets and calm down posters for my students to use daily. We can make a calming strategy book for my students with colorful pictures. Students can print out activities to work with their families at home.
