Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students have a newfound love for reading! As their English teacher I pride myself in being able to match students with the perfect book! And guess what? When you give a student the perfect book, they are going to want to read another. And then another! And pretty soon they'll fall in love!
Some of my students have fallen deeply in love with authors like Coe Booth, the series Deadly Little Secrets and R.L.
Stine! Updating my classroom library will ensure that my students will continue to be deeply captivated by the pages of their favorite book.
I want to capitalize on this momentum I have in my classroom by updating my library with hip titles as well as some NY Times bestsellers. With your support, my students won't be able to put down their books during our daily independent reading time.
