My Project
The OHS BlazerBots are a very diverse FIRST Robotics Team from suburban Colorado. Our school is minority-majority, and our team is almost always 50% female. Unlike most FRC teams, we have a small budget and only 10-20 students. We could not attend the FRC competition in the spring of 2020 due to Covid, and we could not compete in 2021. Last fall, in 2022, a new group of students decided to return to the team.
We need new supplies and updated materials to make our robot more competitive with other teams that have more money and more students.
With these supplies, we hope to modernize our robot and teach our students new skills. Our students will finally be able to manufacture the things they design in CAD using Aluminum materials and make our robot more sturdy with the rivet nuts. We hope to add vision processing to our robot with the Raspberry Pi and update our electrical board with new wire connectors and strippers. We will also help students to make great shirts with the vinyl to show off our team's pride. Go BlazerBots!
