My students need one Human Body Skeleton model to help learn the skeletal system.

My Students
The human body can be fun to learn. However, most of the parts are down below the skin, so we need a model to study it. The full size human body skeleton will help my students learn the 200 plus bones of the body.
I teach sixth and seventh grade science in a high-need, high-poverty rural school, with many students on free or reduced lunch.
Our state and county school system are going through a tremendous budget crunch. There is no extra money for science supplies. Many of my students are visual and hands-on learners.
My Project
There's no better way to study the human skeleton than with a full sized model of the skeleton. This model is close to six feet tall, so it can be seen easily from all parts of the room. It is also on wheels, so it can be rolled to every part of the room for close up viewing.
Our students are required to learn the human body as part of the Florida Sunshine State Next Generation Standards for Science. They are tested on it on the Florida Comprehensive Achievement Test. Students can actually handle and see each bone of the body. The skeleton can be used as a teaching tool in front of the entire class, or in small group settings. The bones can be tagged so as to be named or numbered for a test. The skeleton model is a wonderful tool for all learning styles.
Your help and support for this proposal will enable my students to learn the human skeletal system.
My students very much appreciate when people like you support their science class and their school. It shows them that people care about their education. As a teacher, you are a great encouragement to me.
