This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
All my art students, PK-8th, grade love to paint! My art students strive to do their very best work every time. Their watercolor and tempera paintings painting look best when they include crisp black lines before the paint is applied.
After students draw a picture with a pencil they trace the pencil lines with permanent black markers.
The markers need to be permanent so that they don't bleed and spread from the wet paint. After tracing with black permanent markers students paint in the pictures with watercolor or tempera paint.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
