Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are very enthusiastic, energetic and respectful. Most of them have family problems and live in poor conditions, so they arrive a little stressed to my classroom but they are always trying their best.
The majority of my students are African American.
They like to learn the Spanish language, Spanish music, the food and the Latin and Hispanic cultures. Also, they love dynamic activities to relieve stress. My students enjoy working on projects the most. They support me a lot!
My Project
I want to create a very beautiful place for my students. Four corners. In the first corner, we will work on reading skills with the Spanish books "Fiction Assortment" I suggested. In the second corner, we will work on listening with the help of the BOSE speaker that we need. In the third corner we are going to work on speaking so we need the board Hispanic and Latin games, Dominoes set, bingo in red box, Parcheesi Royal Edition, to play and reward them when they do a good job with conversations in Spanish. In the fourth corner we are going to work on art and writing to motivate my artistic students to make Spanish creations like posters, comics, books. When they arrive to my classroom, I want them to feel happiness and to forget all other distractions. I want them to feel motivated and passionate for learning Spanish in a dynamic way.
I love to be their teacher and I am sure all of my students will want to stay in my class and learn a lot.
The goal is to create a comfortable place for them with 4 different corners to work on the main skills using, music, books, games and art. I know you will help me accomplish this goal. Thanks in advance!
