My Project
I will use the magnets and materials in this project to help my students make meaning with magnets. They will investigate magnetic fields of different magnet shapes, discover polarity, and investigate how magnetic fields interact. Students will also use the magnets to design "magic tricks" and mini games that will help them learn the design process and the parts of a game. Lastly, this magnet unit will help students in their study of atoms and elements. This study will lead them to a greater depth of understanding when understanding that electrons are crucial to the behavior of magnets and to the existence of electricity.
