Help me give my students tools needed to be successful math students in our middle school resource room such a couch, calculators and dry erase boards.
The students in my 6th grade resource room generally struggle in the area of math. Many students lack the basic math skills needed to access the curriculum.
Division whiteboards provide the visual sequential organization to help support math fluency and foster independence.
Calculators will help encourage my students who otherwise would give up on calculations and prevent them from falling behind their peers during lessons.
Lastly, a couch for our math fact fluency corner would provide flexibility and an alternative to sitting at their desks. It would be a safe, and relaxing, environment for my students and most importantly, it would provide them comfort within my classroom!
