Help me give my students the ability to understand math.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Hannah's classroom raised $357

My Students
Our classroom represents many nationalities. Most of our students receive free and/or reduced lunches. We have a large Native American population at our school. Our students love learning and finding fun and exciting ways to teach math is my goal. These math box sets will help make math understandable and fun for students. Subtraction, addition, and the concepts of math are not easily grasped at the preschool age level. By using alternative manipulative sand making math fun my students will find a love of math and build confidence in themselves. The goal is to raise people that not only can do math but see it as an adventure, not a chore.
My Project
Math is a subject area that many students struggle with. Many of my students are from different cultures and home environments. Finding a way to explain addition and subtraction to little minds can be a challenge. Using these counting boxes that are brightly colored, fun items to count and engaging should not only help the students to understand the concepts but enjoy the process of learning. Math can be fun and exciting if presented in a way that makes students want to learn. This will build classroom community and strike a fire for learning.
