My Project

Our Title I school has many diverse populations that come together to create this wonderful atmosphere where students are encouraged to be their best self. Our community is comprised of families with low economic statuses. Many are migrant or factory workers with numerous jobs.

Active learning is key to the success of my students.

If they can manipulate it, they are more likely to master the concept.

The manipulatives I have requested allow the students to "build" their math. The place value blocks allow the students to use a concrete model to better understand how numbers work.
