Make Math Fun!

Help me give my students fun ways to practice their math skills. My students often spend a lot of time mastering one operation in math and they need math games to make mastering concepts more engaging!

My Students

All of the students in my class are unique and special. They all come from different backgrounds and have different home lives. They all have unique cultures and stories to share.

The students in my class have special needs and special hearts.

They have a desire to do good in the world and to be kind to others. They have created a Kindness Club for the last two school years where the students work together to do random acts of kindness around our community.

Each day my students inspire me to do better. Their joy for learning and zest for life is contagious and I feel so fortunate to be their teacher every day!

My Project

Many of my student struggle to master math concepts because they have a variety of special needs. Often times we must spend a long time mastering a specific concept before they reach mastery. This can become monotonous and sometimes boring for my students when they are doing the same type of math problems each day.

Math board games and computer games allow my students to work on the same concepts and practice their skills while actively engaging them in the learning process.

Games make the math more fun and stimulating and also allows for more student and social interaction in the classroom! Math board and computer games can be used year after year and can have a positive impact on hundreds of students over time.
