Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are 8th-10th graders who are extremely curious about math and science. They are doing incredible projects that are years beyond their age, building models of real-life machines, making 3 month budgets, predicting how to make ecosystems more economically conscious. My favorite part, beyond their minds, is that many of these students live in rural areas without financial access to technology or time outside of school to dedicate to academics.

Despite this challenge, these teenagers are dedicated to learning, growing, and bringing their best foot forward every day.

Having a class set of calculators will take the financial burden off of families and allow access to technology to all students.
