Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This will help my students use manipulatives in both math and reading. These supplies such as magnetic drawing boards, letters and counting bears will help them work on basic writing, decoding, and counting skills. All students must move from concrete to abstract learning in the younger grades. One way to do this is to ensure they practice daily with certain skills. The mailboxes will help them bring home important practice and keep their work organized. The TPT gift cards will help with purchasing resources that we can use with the manipulatives and for centers. The cushions ensure that they will be able to sit comfortably at a center that is made for the group so they can still work hard to learn.
My students work tirelessly to make sure that they retain skills and these manipulatives will help them cement their learning.
