My Project
Hi there, I currently teach a full inclusion fifth grade classroom in the Los Angeles area. My classroom consists of different learning styles and abilities. In order for me to support all students within their ability and skill, requires comfortable seating. We currently have hard metal chairs that are also heavy and uncomfortable for my kiddos. If I want my students to work and produce amazing work, they have to be focused and comfortable.
Research has shown that students learn and retain information when they feel safe and have a comfortable classroom seat.
The traditional classrooms make it difficult to learn while sitting in a hard metal chair. This project is kindly asking for your help! We are in need of flexible floor seating that will be used in our reading area to support students' learning style. All students will have access to the seats and they will be able to use them when they need a break from the old chairs we currently have.
