This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am an English Language teacher for grades K-5. My beautiful students come from all around the world. Learning a new language is challenging. These teaching tubs will help my students, especially in the lower grades learn the letter sounds in an exciting way. The materials chosen will not only support my students with letter-sound knowledge, but it will also help increase their English vocabulary by introducing them to several new words! We can use the vowel and blends/digraphs teaching tubs during small group centers as a way to incorporate additional skills, such as turn-taking. The alphabet tubs make it easy for children to practice sorting objects by sound.
