My Students

My students are the BEST! These kids come to school each day excited and ready to learn. Many students experience challenges at home that make school a place they look forward to being each day. I strive to create a classroom environment that provides the consistency and calm that every growing eight year old needs, especially in the midst of such a critical period of growth and development.

The majority of my students enter fourth grade reading below grade level, primarily due to a lack of reading and access to literature.

We spend our school year filling some of those gaps by reading as much as we can and growing our foundational literacy skills, like phonics and reading comprehension. My students and their families light up when they see the impressive growth that occurs throughout the school year, and it's all due to their hard word and dedication! I tell each student that they're brilliant in their own way, they just need to unlock the right doors to find the genius inside of them. I spend each year giving students the keys to these doors, and this year, I'm inviting you to join me!

These books and supplies will help our students complete interactive projects and apply what they've learned this year. We've spent our year

The texts selected for this project feature both fictional characters and real individuals who inspire students with their accomplishments.

From social-emotional growth to scientific advancements, these characters provide a variety of inspirational stories that will encourage our students to continue to strive for excellence each day.

The office supplies included in this project will provide the opportunity for our students to collaborate on a creative project that showcases their learning. We can't wait to see the amazing things they come up with!
