My Students

My babies in my class are so special to me. This is my first year teaching and I love it. I have some very high children and I have some very low children. I will definitely learn a lot from this group of children.

My children are either very wealthy or extremely poor.

It makes me sad when one parent brings in everything from the supplies list and the other child has nothing. What is even more sad is when that child has noticed that their notebook is already tore up and we have not even used it. I did not even bother to take it out of their backpack, I just gave him one I bought.

Being a first year teacher is very hard. I had to buy so many supplies for my classroom. I have not received my teacher debit card, nor have I received my badge to go to the Gift For Teaching to receive free things. I feel like all these children have is me. I do ask parents to help me, but no response. I do write a note to the parents but still, no response. I called, no response. I have a passion for teaching!

My Project

I will be able to use the whiteboards as an exit ticket to see if they understand the material that was taught. They can use their magnetic board for center time. My babies are so busy with work all day.

I want to make learning fun and by painting, they can learn and have fun.

I can incorporate fun ways to paint within our lesson plan. Art Teaches Problem Solving. Making art demonstrates that there can be multiple solutions to the same problem. Art expands our experience and encourages open-ended thinking that creates an environment of questions rather than answers.
