Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are exceptional students who work very hard to be successful. Most students are English Second Language learners and are striving hard to make their families proud.
Many of my students are immigrants new to America trying to learn a new language and culture, along with their math, science, writing, and reading.
We are a title 1 school working hard to make our budget stretch to meet the needs of each student. Seeing my students succeed is reason I teach!
My Project
Science is a major part of students' lives and they need to learn how to question things, research the answers, and test hypothesis. Students need to be able to have hands-on experiences when it comes to learning.
These kits would be used to introduce the subjects of electricity and magnets to students and then for investigations that students will create and journal about to teach others their findings.
With the real world experiences my students will have the ability to teach others about something new and feel successful. Elementary is the building blocks of education. This is when students are excited about learning new things.
These science kits will add a great resource to our classroom!
