it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We would love to get a Cricut machine for our Transition to Work (TSW) program, which serves students in special education. Our students are amazing individuals who bring unique talents and perspectives to our classroom every day. The Cricut machine will enable them to engage in hands-on projects, boosting creativity and practical skills as they design and create custom items like t-shirts and pins. This experience will help them learn about design, production, and entrepreneurship while gaining valuable vocational skills such as operating and troubleshooting the machine, managing projects, and understanding small-scale production. Collaborative projects will foster teamwork, communication, and a sense of community. Completing projects and seeing tangible results will boost students' confidence and show them they can create something valuable. Our goal is to create an internship where the students can use their creativity to earn money for the TSW club and at the same time, equip students with job-ready skills for future careers. Our special education students are remarkable for their determination, creativity, and potential. Each student brings something unique to our program, and with the right tools and support, they can achieve amazing things. Thank you for considering our project.
