Make-It-Stick Math

Help me give my students part-whole practice cards for all operations, visual place value tools, and magnetic counters/whiteboard for group practice.

My Project

I work with students in grades 1-5 who need math intervention to fill their learning gaps.

The excitement and engagement that fills the classroom when students work with math tools is exuberating!

I find that they are more likely enjoy math while remembering concepts if they work with hands-on manipulatives.

Having a mobile large magnetic whiteboard allows different grouping options around the room while they practice with the magnetic numbers and operations (as well as the magnetic math tools already in the classroom).

The math practice cards are wonderful whether it's one-to-one, small group, or individual practice. They are made with high quality material, so they can be reused over and over for many years to come. The durable place value strips allow students to build and understand what each number represents.
