Help me give my students the Giant Magnetic Manipulative Set to provide them with hands-on mathematical instruction. The Math Folder Games Library will provide for MUCH NEEDED live game interaction with one another.
My third graders are curious, capable, and creative learners at our Title-1 school. Many of my students are new to our school and need hands-on materials to learn English and help create a sense of place in this unique island state. With the help of DonorsChoose, I will be able to provide quality materials to address various learning styles and multicultural perspectives.
My Project
My third graders are adjusting to life back in the classroom, but they need help with their mathematical instruction. Many are at least two grades behind due to distance learning.
These mathematical tools will provide them with opportunities to visualize and manipulate shapes, fractions, and base ten blocks.
The whiteboards are used daily and provide an exciting opportunity to show their thinking and create a lively learning environment that captivates students' attention. This also provides an opportunity for verbalizing their mathematical reasoning and learning from each other. These tools will greatly improve the fundamental mathematical concepts for my students.
