My Students
I teach in a college town with a VERY wide array of kiddos. I share my classroom with students from various countries and cultures. I teach students that need to be challenged and students who need extra accommodations to stay focused.
We celebrate diversity and embrace our different heritages, cultures and learning styles.
We respect each other and help each other reach our full potential. We all learn together and we learn from each other. We strive to have a growth mindset and appreciate our failures and learn from them, rather than be embarrassed by them.
I am always searching for ways to give my students the best possible educational experience. I look for diverse books that reflect my diverse kids. I look for STEM projects and supplies to prepare them for their 21st century futures. Join me in creating a classroom that inspires my kids to love learning.
My Project
I am going to use these materials to help my students experience learning in a magical way. I am reading a book about how to incorporate "magic" into my teaching. These items will help me achieve this goal.
My students will use technology and games to learn new concepts and ideas.
They will travel across the globe using virtual reality. They will play board games to help motivate them to give their work 110 percent.
I also included another book for myself because I believe a teacher should never stop being a student. I want to constantly improve as an educator because the kids deserve it.
