Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students are a bright and creative bunch who love hands-on activities. Our school as well as most of the children are located in the Lower East Side of Manhattan. My students come from diverse cultures and economic backgrounds. This group of second graders is made up of curious, eager, and hard-working learners.
These students not only learn from their teachers, but they learn from each other.
As an early childhood teacher, our class is constantly using hands-on materials. By supporting this project you're helping me provide my students with laminating sheets so our center-based materials will be long lasting and they won't tear or rip, which allows for the students to enhance their learning experiences. The kids love our word work, math, and English Language Arts centers, and we hope to be able to continue providing these centers for our students with your help!
