Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come from low-income homes in a high poverty neighborhood. They come to school hungry and with a number of challenges. I see their eager faces every day as they show up to school willing to learn.
My students are motivated and excited about learning new things, reading interesting stories, and making lasting friendships.
Their enthusiasm is contagious and it inspires me to create lessons with fun activities. The majority of my students struggle in reading comprehension and writing.
My Project
Digital resources are essential to make and plan fun lessons for my students. Teachers Pay Teachers is an educational online resource created by educators for educators and consists of thousands of materials that are easily accessible. The Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will help me purchase valuable reading materials and interactive math activities that my struggling students will find engaging.
The digital resources can be made accessible to my students within minutes, so they can begin learning from home right away.
These resources are high interest materials that will help my students have fun while learning.
