This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Field Day is a special event that celebrates the hard work, growth, and achievements of our students throughout the school year. To make this year’s Field Day even more exciting and memorable, I’m requesting support to provide a dunk tank experience for our students.

The dunk tank will be a highlight of the day, giving students a unique opportunity to interact with teachers and staff in a playful, joyful way.

Watching a favorite teacher get dunked is not only entertaining—it fosters school spirit, builds stronger relationships, and creates positive memories that students carry with them. It also encourages participation, teamwork, and school pride as students take turns to cheer on each other.

Beyond the fun, this experience supports social-emotional learning. It gives students a healthy outlet for stress, promotes laughter and connection, and contributes to an inclusive, celebratory school culture. Field Day activities like the dunk tank help students feel recognized, appreciated, and a part of a vibrant community—especially important after a year of hard work in the classroom.
