My Students

My students are excited by art and would like to create some of their own.

I teach Art to high school students in a small rural school district in Georgia where 100% of the students receive free breakfast and lunch.

We have received supplies though Donors Choose in the past but we have used them up and we often work with computer paper and regular pencils. The school system has very limited funds for the art program. It's not that the system doesn't want to support art; the money is just not there.

My students are bright and interested in art. We just do not have the funds to offer them the variety of experiences that I would like.

My Project

My Art students love to draw and right now we are working with #2 pencils and mechanical pencils. They enjoy putting their creations on paper with these supplies but I want them to have the opportunity to add value to their pencil drawings and to be able to create colored pencil drawings.

My students need the experience of working with real drawing pencils and colored pencils.

This will add excitement to their art experience. Without your help we can not afford even theses most basic supplies. Please help me to get the supplies we need in order to bring my students' ideas to life.
