Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of the students are from low socioeconomic homes and are on free or reduced price lunch. We are a Title 1 school on a limited budget. The students need extra support at school in order to help them be successful in life.

Help the learners learn successful STEM skills which will help them be career and college ready.

Part of the student population are English Language Learners; however, the student population are a very diverse set of learners. They are well behaved and eager to learn.

My Project

At our school we are giving our learners experiences in Science-Technology-Engineering-Math through hands on experiences. Students will use the printer to learn how to create projects that involve mathematics and science. The 3-D printer will allow learners to create projects, which will help solve a real world problem.

Utilizing a 3-D printer will help the learners to create projects, which they can use in their EdCorps projects.

We need plastic filament for the printer. In return learners will use creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication to enhance their academic experience. The idea is to create successful learners with real world skills when they leave school.
