My Students
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and many face struggles and challenges on a daily basis. Included in their daily challenges are often times financial struggles. All of my students receive a free breakfast and lunch every school day. My goal is to make the classroom a fun and welcoming environment where they can learn and grow regardless of what goes on outside of school. Even with what these kids face on a daily basis, they come to school with a positive outlook and a love for learning!
With the income restrictions placed on some of the families that I serve, many of my students do not have access to supplies to help them thrive.
My kids love to play, read, move, and everything else that your average elementary student does in a day. I cannot control what goes on outside of my classroom, but I take pride in what goes on inside of it. I want to make sure that my students strive and that they have what they need to be successful and continue their love of learning.
My Project
My students work hard on their classwork and assignments. I am hoping to get mailboxes so that they have a safe place to keep their graded work to pack into their weekly folders.
Organization is important for students to start learning early!
After their work is graded, I plan to return the work to the students for them to pack into their Tuesday folders. This will also allow them to keep up with important school fliers and to make sure that the fliers will make it home to parents. I am hoping that by practicing being organized at school, it will allow them to be more organized as they grow up!
