Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher who loves to make sure my kids are always prepared for their day. My students love to learn and always try their best to stay focused during the day. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.

Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.

They like to move, they love to read and love lots of positive attention. Many of them are being raised in single-parent households and receive a free lunch based on their socioeconomic status. These things may prevent them from getting ahead early in life and may not provide them with the life experiences many of us see as typical. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and strive to give them the best of me.

My Project

My students are eager and energetic kindergarten and first graders. We are all currently learning remotely. Being at home brings some challenges that not all of us have the tools available at home for learning.

Please help me send my students materials they need to learn at home.

I would like to print and laminate the tools they need and mail them to my students. I would like use the laptop riser to be able to share my screen and charts with my students and give them a better visual of the material. I will be using the envelops and stamps to mail the materials home.
