Magnifying Students' Learning & Natural Curiosities with Microscopes

My Project

Students walk into my STEM lab excited to engage in hands-on activities and learn about the world around them. All 500+ students from grades Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade have a natural curiosity, and I believe it is crucial to help nurture it during these early stages of their education.

Portable, hand-held microscopes will add fuel to the flames of their unrelenting curiosity as they'll be able to observe specimens beyond the textbook.

These microscopes will allow them to witness phenomena and heighten their excitement for learning concepts within the life sciences. With these microscopes, they'll be provided with opportunities to observe plant and animal cells and compare and contrast different species. These portable microscopes will transform a regular outdoor stroll on campus into an educational field visit as they'll be able to access lightweight magnifying tools within their pockets to investigate the curiosities that surround them.
