My students need many different math manipulatives, including a set of Early Math Instant Learning Centers, a teaching clock and a counting kit, to help them start out the school year strong.

My Students
Math is like going to the gym for your brain. It sharpens your mind.
My students are sweet, innocent, vibrant kindergarteners.
They come from a low income community and many of them do not have the same experiences or opportunities as those children in the suburban areas. Our school has a challenging curriculum and motivates the students to be successful in life.
My Project
Many of my students have never been to any preschool. I begin with the basics. Students need a good math foundation before they can become successful. All the games, charts, learning centers, markers, and activities I have chosen will benefit the development of early math skills such as, counting, sorting, building patterns, using a number line, telling time, measuring, and comparing.
This is going to be my third year in kindergarten and sixth year in education including substitute teaching.
I only want the best for my students and will do whatever it takes to achieve my goals. I want my students to love to learn and grow each and every day. You can help make my classroom a wonderful environment for learning by supporting this project.
