it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
After teaching 1st grade for one year, I have come to find some materials and items that have helped me support my students in their learning this year! After one year, most items have natural wear and tear from being used throughout the school year, and need to be replaced by the end of the year. My project is seeking support to renew basic materials that my students have used most in 1st grade!
Items on this project list include sticky labeler tape, velcro numbers, headphone organizers for the wall, paper protectors, dry erase 100's charts, small storage containers, LED lights, and sticky adhesive tape.
The labeler tape, velcro numbers, headphone organizers, and storage containers will be used for basic organization in the classroom. They will give students places to put their supplies, headphones, and know where to sit on the carpet during the day. The adhesive tape will be used to hang up old headphone hooks that need adhesive tape for installment. The paper protectors will be used to store graphic organizers for students to use for reading and math time. The LED lights will help give us a calm and inviting classroom, by providing light options to students for some classroom fun. The last item is for dry erase 100's charts. We use these charts to learn number names, counting on, skip counting, adding 10 more and 10 less, and comparing numbers. Students have built a deep understanding of number sense by using them. We hope you can help us with this amazing project! I believe in these materials, and I am confident about how much they will help my students next school year!
