My Project
I teach science at an all girls school and this project is special because I did not come up with it...they did!
The students want to learn more about magnets, the attraction of magnets, and how they are used to move and levitate trains.
To do this I have ordered a few maglev kits so the students will be able to build their own maglev train, study what is happening, and come up with pros and cons for our subway trains versus the maglev. They have also asked that we do some experiments with magnets that use ferrous liquid and magnetic slime.
All of this sounds like so much fun and that is exactly what learning should be.
