My Students
Our school has students from kindergarten through eighth grade. About 75% of the students receive free or reduced-rate lunch. I believe with all my heart that our school is the best kept secret in our district. The students, faculty, and staff treat each other as family. It's a safe, nurturing environment for learning and growing students to reach their fullest potential. My goal is to grow students academically and socially by planting the needed skills to find success in life.
My Project
How do we learn best? That's right - hands-on. What better way to find out how magnets work. The students can manipulate these magnets in several different ways to see how they attract or repel. The students will be amazed to see first hand how they work.
When the students are using these magnets, other students can try to replicate what they are doing.
This interaction can foster communication skills as well as giving directions. Not only will the students learn how magnets work, but they will enrich their communication skills.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
